Croatia is not experienced inside four walls. The best of it is outside — and most guests never find it.
On Croatia Premium Stay, guests can book verified outdoor experiences in Croatia — from swimming with horses on Brač to private flights above the islands — directly, with no commission.
Why We Added Experiences to Croatia Premium Stay
Croatia Premium Stay started as a luxury villa platform. But after years of working directly with guests, we kept noticing the same thing.
Guests would book the perfect villa. Sea view, private pool, the right island, the right week. And then they would spend seven days inside it — or driving between the same beaches that appear on every tourist list — and leave having missed what Croatia actually is.
Croatia is not experienced in four walls. It is experienced on the back of a horse entering the Adriatic at dawn. It is experienced in a small plane tracing the coastline above islands that have no roads. It is experienced in a river canyon that takes an hour to reach and rewards you with silence that most visitors never find.
We added experiences to Croatia Premium Stay because the villa is where you sleep. Croatia is where you live.
To connect villas, experiences and itineraries into one week that makes sense, we built Dodo — our AI travel guide for villas and experiences across Croatia.
What Makes CPS Experiences Different
- No guest commission on experiences
- Personally verified operators and locations
- Direct contact with ranches, pilots and guides
- Combined villa and experience wishlist — one itinerary, no agency
Viator and GetYourGuide list what operators pay to list — and take 20-30% commission that ends up in your final price.
Every experience on Croatia Premium Stay has been selected, visited and verified by our team. We know the rafting operator on the Cetina who adjusts every trip based on water levels that week. We know the ranch on Brač where the horses enter the sea at a specific cove at a specific time of morning. We know the pilot who knows every cloud formation over the Adriatic.
We list what we stand behind. Not what pays to be listed.
Swimming with Horses on Brač, Croatia
Ranch Wild Brač offers something that does not exist anywhere else in the Adriatic. You ride along a coastal path on the island of Brač — and then you enter the sea together. The horse swims. You swim alongside it. The water is crystal clear. The island is quiet around you.
This is not a tourist attraction. It is a working ranch run by people who have been doing this for years and whose horses are part of their daily life. We verified it. We rode. We swam. We listed it.

Private Scenic Flight Above the Croatian Islands
Most visitors to Croatia see the islands from a ferry or a boat. A handful see them from the air — and those who do describe it as the moment Croatia stopped being a holiday destination and became something they understood for the first time.
The private 90-minute flight above Brač traces the coastline from an altitude that reveals the geometry of the islands — how they sit in the Adriatic, how they relate to each other, why the water changes colour between the channels. Not sightseeing. Orientation.

Build Your Week — Villa, Experiences, Itinerary
The guests who get the most out of Croatia are the ones who plan the week as a whole — not accommodation separately from activities, not experiences as an afterthought on day three.
Tell Dodo where you want to be, what kind of group you are travelling with, and one thing you want to do that you have never done before. Dodo will suggest the right villa, the right experiences for your group, and the right order to do them in.
Marie told Dodo she wanted a villa near Split for six people, close to the sea, with something memorable for the group mid-week. Dodo recommended Villa Klara in Kaštela — and suggested swimming with horses on Brač as the mid-week highlight, with a ferry crossing that became part of the experience itself. One conversation. A complete week.

FAQ — Experiences in Croatia with Croatia Premium Stay
How are experiences selected for Croatia Premium Stay?
Every experience is personally reviewed by our team before it appears on the platform. We have visited the ranches, taken the flights, spoken with the operators. We list what we have verified and what we stand behind — not what pays to be listed.
Do I pay commission when booking an experience through CPS?
No. Croatia Premium Stay charges no guest commission on experiences. You contact the operator directly and arrange payment with them. The price you see is the price you pay.
Can I combine an experience with a villa booking?
Yes. Add both your villa and your chosen experiences to your CPS wishlist — building your full itinerary in one place, with direct contact details for both the villa owner and the experience operator.
Is swimming with horses suitable for children or non-swimmers?
Based on our visit to Ranch Wild Brač — the horses are calm, well-trained and accustomed to guests of all experience levels. The sea entry is gradual and the water depth manageable. For children under ten or guests who are not confident swimmers, we recommend discussing your group with the ranch before booking — they will tell you honestly whether conditions that week suit your group.

When is the best time for the private scenic flight above the islands?
Early morning is ideal — before the sea breeze picks up and while the Adriatic light is at its clearest. Late afternoon in June and September also works well. July and August midday flights are possible but turbulence over heated land can affect comfort. The pilot will always advise on conditions for your specific date.

When is the best time of year for outdoor experiences in Croatia?
May, June and September are ideal — warm enough for water activities, cool enough for riding and hiking, without peak season crowds. The Cetina river runs strongest in May and early June. Horse swimming on Brač runs May through October, with September offering the warmest sea and fewest visitors. Island flights operate year-round — winter flights on clear days offer visibility that summer haze rarely allows.
